We had snow! What a delight that was and proper fluffy snow. The children were screaming with delight, and Arlo the dog didn’t know what this cold stuff was but soon got into the swing of things and chased our sledges down the steepest hill on the farm. Now its the start of February and there is a new energy in the air of growth, renewal and the hope of getting on top of this pandemic so we can meet again.
We are busy preparing for our guests to return and anticipating a busy season. Hill Farm has such a unique setting, high up overlooking the beautiful Wye Valley and the famous Tintern Abbey, and encompasses woodlands, paddocks and streams. Guests enjoy the freedom to roam, taking in the breath-taking views and connecting with nature.
We are so excited to announce that we have purchased three yurts that will be available to book from 28 May 2021 https://hillfarmtintern.co.uk/. These are off grid, self-contained and secluded; and offer comfort and warmth whilst still enjoying the benefits of the great outdoors. We are also excited to offer a number of added extras to make your stay even more enjoyable; including breakfast and BBQ packs, wood fired pizza nights, woodland yoga and forest bathing – with more options to be announced soon!
Our room with a view is available from 1 April 2021 if restrictions allow. The room can be made up of a double or 2 singles, and has a brand new shower and a private terrace area where you can soak up the view.
Other developments:
- We are busy making a new herb and salad garden for our guests to pick their own fresh salad and herbs for pizza.
- We have a new deer sculpture and having another sculpture made for the new salad and herb garden, made out of recycled materials from around the farm.
- Shinrin Yoku (Forest Bathing): Meditate in nature, improve your sleep, build your immune system and learn about this ancient practice on guided practices at Hill Farm, Tintern.
