Sam from Voyage to You was diagnosed with premature ovarian insufficiency at the age of 35.

“After my diagnosis, I felt incredibly isolated and like nobody else in the world was struggling with menopausal symptoms in their 30’s. I found it difficult to find information on POI and didn’t identify with the common stereotypes of menopause. I struggled with fatigue so badly, and I couldn’t understand how I was going to live the rest of my life feeling this way.

All of this inspired me to gain a diploma in nutritional therapy and to become a certified menopause coach. Originally, this was to educate myself and to see if I could influence how I felt through my diet. Eventually, I wanted women to share my knowledge and to know that they are not alone. Now, I am a health coach specialising in women experiencing menopause and POI, particularly focused on how nutrition can manage symptoms”

Hayley Court Yoga Teacher

Hayley from Forest Retreats is a yoga teacher, business owner, and holistic therapist.

“I am 43 and perimenopausal. I have noticed my body changing – particularly inflammation and changes to my skin. I am passionate about weight-bearing exercise as I have osteopenia (due to having coeliac disease), but also ensuring we learn to rest more, especially as women today juggle so much. I am very much looking forward to delivering this workshop with Sam.”

My visit to Hill Farm couldn’t have come at a better time. I arrived feeling slightly frazzled and very tired and left feeling calm and energised to continue doing my job and caring for my family AND myself. Highly recommended!

I have just come away from a weekend retreat and it was absolutely brilliant. Hayley and Tom are fantastic hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Hayley’s combination of Yin and Yang yoga, Tom’s forest bathing, and nourishing, tasty veggie food, the eco spa and yurt created the perfect blend of relaxation and fun throughout the weekend. The gong bath and massage were also wonderful additions. Thanks so much!

Peaceful retreat. We took a Shinrin Yoku experience. Driving up through the countryside was a treat in itself, upon arriving we were met by Tom who was immediately friendly and relaxed. Our party was just the two of us and our old dog, we spent hours immersed in the forest enjoying our surroundings led by Tom to quietly connect with nature, our day was dry and sunny but would have been equally as enjoyable in the rain. We came away thoroughly relaxed. Friends asked us why were we paying for a walk in the woods when this can be done for free, to them I say you can walk for free, but this wasn't a walk in the woods it was a Shinrin Yoku experience with a guide knowledgeable and insightful, worth every penny.

I have just come back from a yoga and well-being retreat and it was fantastic. The farm is idyllic, and only about 45 minutes from Bristol on a good run. Hayley is a wonderful yoga teacher, technically skilled but very kind and helpful, while Tom's Forest Bathing sessions are a really enlightening experience. The food is fantastic too, and they are the perfect hosts. The only bad thing about the retreat was having to leave on the Sunday!
